Background
Rosemary Oglesby-Henry, known to many as Ms. Rosemary, is the first Black Republican to run for Congress in Ohio’s 1st District. Born and raised in Avondale, she is a proud conservative, business leader, mother, and daughter of a U.S. military veteran.
Her life story is one of resilience and accountability. Rosemary overcame extraordinary obstacles from teen motherhood and homelessness to being falsely accused and ultimately acquitted, choosing not bitterness, but purpose, for the sake of her children.
She founded Rosemary’s Babies Co., a nationally recognized nonprofit that has empowered more than 3,000 families, and has consulted and educated over 100 entrepreneurs, helping them start, stabilize, and grow businesses.
Now running for Congress, Rosemary is bringing the same discipline, integrity, and results driven leadership to Washington to rebuild faith in the American Dream—proving that conservative governance can be both compassionate and accountable.
